AMS Camp Accelerate

AMS Camp Accelerate students are having a great time in their electives today! Culinary Arts students created breakfast kabobs, physical education students worked on increasing their fitness levels, and science students made electromagnets and observed static electricity.

MASK MANDATE

MASK MANDATE LIFTED

Effective immediately and for the 2021-2022 school year, all St. Landry Parish School System students, staff, and visitors to any SLPSS facility will no longer be required to wear masks while inside or outside St. Landry Parish School facilities. If parents, students, or staff wish to continue to wear masks while at school, they may do so. The mask mandate, however, will continue to be in place while traveling on school buses.

Testing Schedules

Testing season is upon us! Grades 5 & 7 test 4/26-4/30. Grades 6 & 8 test 5/3-5/7. Please see the attached letter from Ms. Miller and the testing calendars.

Truancy Updates

St. Landry Parish District Attorney, Chad Pitre, has recently implemented the Truancy Assessment and Service Center (TASC) and is working closely with SLPSB to increase school attendance in St. Landry Parish Schools.
