MACA Family,
Please help us reach our goal by donating blood today at the MACA blood drive. We are units away from reaching our goal in order to give one lucky senior the Life Scholars scholarship. We would appreciate your support in this endeavor. The blood drive ends at 2:00 pm

Autism Awareness Month is observed in April. During this month, we reflect on the challenges faced by individuals with autism and their families. This month serves as a reminder of the need for increased understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals with autism and their families.
For those who ride the bus in the Northwest zone, Coach Dupree will be driving bus L204 until further notice.

JUMPSTART SUMMERS PROGRAM APPLICATIONS
~Open to all current students enrolled in St. Landry Parish public schools in 9th through 12th grade (MEDIA ARTS is open to students in grades 7-12)
~ Courses are designed to prepare students for careers involving specialized skill sets.
~Students can earn up to $2,000.00 depending on the program.
~Program begins May 30th and ends August 1st.
~Program contingent on the number of applicants.
~The application will close on May 5th.

At MACA on Thursday, March 30 at 6:00 PM, you're invited to our annual Poetry Slam.
Our final Title I family literacy event of the 2022-2023 school year will be held during the Poetry Slam. The first several guests will be able to select a book of their choice and complete a Found Poetry activity.
Poetry Slam tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for students (ages 5-18)

We just received word that Eddie Brown, Bus 513 to Northwest broke down. Students who ride that bus will need a ride home today from MACA as there are no substitute bus drivers. Dismissal is at 2:33 pm
MACA's last blood drive will be held on Wednesday, March 29. Plese consider donating.

We have been informed that Bus 630, Gwen Moore will not run through Monday, March 27. We are unsure at this time whether she will resume on Tuesday.

Early arrival is suggested for upcoming performances. Metal detectors will be used at each performance. Guests will be required to remove electronics and metal before proceeding. Please plan accordingly.

Kindergarten Registration for new students to St. Landry Parish is now online. Please share the following information with anyone wishing to newly enroll their child in kindergarten in St. Landry Parish School District.
Who can enroll?
~Your child is eligible if he/she is a new kindergarten student to St. Landry Parish Schools in the 2023-2024 school year.
~Your child is eligible if he/she is five years of age by September 30, 2023.
~Your child is eligible if he or she was born between Oct. 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018.
~Your child is eligible if he/she is a current SLP Head Start Student who qualifies with age.
